It’s summer in the US! What better time than now to work on those skills, Minecraft or otherwise AND do a bit of fun learning? We have a super fun week-long online virtual camp for all SKrafty members. It’s going to be so fun! Your kiddo won’t want to miss it! When: August 27th – September 1st, 2023
There will be several sessions to follow, and participants can choose all or some of them. Live sessions will be taught using our online classroom. They will be recorded for students to watch later if they miss it live. Sessions will take place in the morning AND afternoon. Tournaments will take place in the evening.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are participating in the Minecraft activities you will need the full Java version of Minecraft for the computer. You won’t be able to participate on XBOX, Pocket Edition, etc.
Devotional:
We will start each day off right with a bit of prayer and Bible Study!
Minecraft Builder’s Workshop:
Practice your Minecraft building skills plus get some tips on building in this session.
Drawing with SuperMJ767:
Students in this session will go through a drawing tutorial during each class!
Science with Minecraft Build & Learn: Animals in their Habitats
Each day students will learn about different animals and their related habitats. They will then be able to head over to Minecraft to build what they’ve learned.
Literature Build & Learn: The Secret Garden
Students will read through the book, discuss, and re-create key scenes from the story in Minecraft.
Minecraft Survival 101
This track will cover all the basics of Minecraft Survival
Minecraft Pixel Art Workshop
Students in this track will learn how to improve their pixel art skills plus practice them during the session.
Build Team Meetup:
Students will be teamed up and given a major project to be completed by the end of camp.
PVP Tournament:
Who will be the Summer Camp PVP Champion this year? This double elimination PVP tournament will take place on the SKrafty Minecraft Server.
Group Games on Zoom:
We will use Jackbox Games to join together with others via zoom for some hilarious group fun!
Task Masters:
Will you be the next Task Master? Join us for the release of a fun new minigame on the SKrafty Minecraft Server!
SKrafty Talent Show
Do you have a talent you want to share with the world? Participate in the SKrafty Talent show on Friday, September 1st at 5PM Central. Talents can be singing, dancing, martial arts, comedy, magic, or whatever fancy talent you have.
Details: Participants will log in to our online classroom and share their talents. They WILL need a microphone and camera. This show will be shared live on the private SKrafty Facebook page as well. Students will be able to set up a time prior to the showtime to have a dress rehearsal.
