Join us for another year-long online literature and writing course for students in grades 9-12.
Using the Socratic Method, we will have lively and tasteful discussions. During class time the teacher will bring these classics alive. Students are required to participate and have their webcams on while attending class.
Homework will be given to complete and will consist of reading the chosen novels, literature guides, and writing assignments that will correspond with each book. Literature guides will be provided by the teacher. Writing instruction will be given for every assignment along with a checklist/rubric.
Novels and stories include the following:
Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis
Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
The Crucible by Arthur Miller
Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God by Jonathon Edwards
The high school literature class will meet every other week beginning on September 6th from 11:30 – 1:00 PM CST. Microphones will be required for class.
