UPDATE – Orientation for IEW courses will take place at NOON CST on Monday, August 29th. A link will be provided via email and in the Important Information section of this course. The session will be recorded and placed in the Important Information section if you are unable to make the live session, but you MUST watch before attending your first class session.
Join Mrs. Laura as she leads students on a 28-week journey using IEW’s Structure and Style method. This theme-based writing curriculum allows students to experience world history through cultural literature and the study of famous people and events. This course offers a full year of instruction for students in grades 6-8 and will cover all nine IEW units.
Each student is strongly encouraged to actively participate during our class time. Use of a webcam and microphone provide a classroom feel and build community. In order to provide a more personal experience and allow for interaction, space is limited.
The students will have a live class each week, assignments, and optional Minecraft activities. Writing assignments will be submitted via Google Docs. Attending the live class is essential for success, however sessions will be recorded.
