Description:

This 26 lesson class follows the book, Exploring Creation with Botany (Young Explorer Series) by Apologia. Classes include weekly lessons, videos, textbook assignments, Minecraft adventures, and quizzes.  Students will need the textbook to complete this course.  Students will learn all about botany at a level that is understandable to them.

About the Curriculum:

From Apologia, “Exploring Creation with Botany presents a scientifically sound and God-honoring study of botany for grades K-6. Content covered includes the nature of botany and the process of classifying plants. It then discusses the development of plants from seeds, the reproduction processes in plants, the way plants make their food, and how plants get their water and nutrients and distribute them throughout the body of the plant.

Rewards:

Students will earn a diamond armor badge on the SKrafty EDU system for completing this course as well as various coins for completing lessons, topics, and quizzes.

Additional Activities:

Each lesson includes a Minecraft activity which helps to review the topics they are learning and so the student can continue learning in a different way!  While the Minecraft activities are optional, they are strongly encouraged.
